Uganda

Notice the instruction on the board "do not eat wild
 animals".

The 135kms of dirt road from Masindi to Murshison Falls was terrible. After it had rained we drove at
10mph.

Gabon

Roads in Gabon were terrible, and vehicles were always getting stuck in the mud. 4-Wheel drive vehicles would have to help pull out cars before they themselves were able to pass.

Zaire

After every dry season, the grass is tall and bush is thick. The villagers organize a burning to get rid of the grass, and also to catch all the animals that seek refuge in the bush. they use large nets, set a ring of fire, and then beat the bush to cause a huge scare amongst the animals. As the animals attempt to flee the burning enclosure, they are immediately caught and trapped as they jump through the fire into what they must be thinking will be safety from the flames.
